Planning a visit to Dublin while expecting your first baby? It can be a beautiful and simple way to capture this special time in a meaningful place.
This lovely couple travelled from Tennessee, USA to Dublin around St Patrick’s Day, a trip they had been dreaming about for a long time. They were expecting their first baby and wanted to quietly celebrate both the pregnancy and their visit to Ireland.
We met at St Stephen’s Green Park on a warm spring morning. The park was full of fresh greenery and some magnolia trees were already beginning to bloom. The light was soft and the atmosphere felt calm, perfect for a relaxed maternity session in the heart of Dublin.
We started with a gentle walk through St Stephen’s Green Park, simply letting them enjoy the moment together. There was no rush, just conversation, laughter and that quiet excitement that comes before welcoming a baby. She wore a green flowing dress that moved softly in the breeze, fitting beautifully with the natural surroundings.
We paused near one of the bridges, then continued towards the pavilion where they sat for a few quiet moments. These simple pauses often become the most meaningful photographs, just being together and enjoying the day.
Afterwards, we stopped at a nearby coffee shop. They warmed up with coffee and shared their baby scan, a small but very special moment to end the session.
This maternity session at St Stephen’s Green Park felt relaxed and natural, more like a walk through Dublin than a photoshoot. A gentle way to remember a trip, a pregnancy and the beginning of a new chapter.
