Booking & Planning

How does booking and payment work?

A €50 non-refundable booking fee is paid at the time of booking to secure your session date.

On the day of your session, a €250 session fee is payable. This covers your photography experience, including the time we spend together, preparation, and the careful editing of your gallery.

Once your gallery is ready, you can view your images in your private online gallery and choose the collection that feels right for your family. As part of your chosen collection has already been paid, you’ll simply pay the remaining balance:

Feather Collection – €50

Twig Collection – €150

Nest Collection – €200

There’s no need to decide anything in advance. Everything is designed to be calm, flexible and completely transparent, so you can simply choose the collection that feels right after seeing your photographs.

How can I book a session?

How can I book a session?

Booking your session is simple.

Studio newborn, maternity and family sessions can be booked directly through my online booking calendar using the Book a Studio Session link.

If you’re interested in a home or outdoor session, a Cake Smash, or another milestone or special occasion, simply get in touch via my contact form. We’ll chat about your plans, choose the perfect date and organise everything together before confirming your booking.

If you have any questions before booking, I’m always happy to help. Once your session is confirmed, I’ll guide you through the next steps so everything feels clear, relaxed and uncomplicated.

How far in advance should I book?

It’s always lovely to plan a little ahead, especially for maternity and newborn sessions. Pregnancy and those first weeks with your baby pass so quickly, and having your session pencilled in early simply gives you peace of mind.

For maternity sessions, many mums choose to book for around 32–34 weeks, when the bump is beautifully visible but you still feel comfortable. Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy, so we can reserve a spot and then gently adjust the timing once your baby arrives — keeping everything calm and unhurried.

When is the best time for a newborn session?

There’s no single “right” time — the most important starting point is how you and your baby are feeling.

Some families choose to photograph their baby in the first 2–3 weeks, when newborns are often very sleepy, relaxed, and still naturally curled. This stage is lovely if you’re drawn to soft, peaceful images. Others prefer to wait a little longer, when babies are more alert, awake and starting to engage with the world around them. This can be just as beautiful — it simply tells a slightly different story. We’ll always plan the timing together in a way that feels right for you and your baby.

I missed the newborn stage — can we still do a session?

Absolutely. If your baby is older, we can still create beautiful, meaningful images. Sessions with older babies are more interactive and focus on connection, expressions, eye contact and natural moments as your baby becomes more curious and engaged. Every stage is special, and it’s never “too late” to document this time.

Can my family join me for a maternity/ newborn session?

Yes, of course. Maternity/ newborn sessions are always family-friendly. Your partner and children are very welcome to join and the session is guided gently to include everyone in a natural, relaxed way.

Do you offer any discounts or bundles?

Yes. I offer a Bump to Baby bundle, which includes both a maternity session and a newborn session at a more favourable rate than booking each session separately. Full details can be found on my Pricing page.

I also offer an album collection ( a set of 3) — a set of three matching albums, where you pay for two. This option is ideal if you’d like to keep one album for your own home and gift the others to parents or grandparents. Album collection options are available when ordering printed products through your gallery.

The Session

How long does a session last?

Sessions are unhurried and usually last between one and two hours. I don’t work to a strict schedule, we take the time your family needs and allow moments to unfold naturally.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions can take place: in my studio in Dublin 6, in your home or outdoors in a location that feels right to you. We’ll decide together what suits your family best.

What if my child doesn’t cooperate?

If you’re wondering how children usually behave during a session, there’s no need to worry. Sessions are relaxed and playful, more like a gentle playdate. Children are free to be themselves — there’s no pressure to behave or perform. I guide things softly, follow your child’s lead, take breaks when needed, and turn moments of play into beautiful, natural images.

Do we need to pose?

No. I don’t ask families to pose or perform. I offer gentle guidance when needed, but most of the session is about being together, cuddling, playing, moving and connecting naturally.

Clothing & Preparation

What should we wear?

You’ll receive a simple session guide after booking, with tips on colours and styling.

You’ll also have access to my curated client wardrobe for mums and little ones, if you’d like to use it.

How do we prepare?

You don’t need to prepare anything special. Once your session is booked, I’ll share everything you need to know in advance so you can arrive relaxed and confident.

Do I need to have professional makeup done?

Professional makeup is not required. My photography style is natural and timeless, and I always aim for a soft, authentic look. If you enjoy wearing makeup, I recommend a light, natural makeup that enhances your features rather than a heavy or evening look.

After the Session

When will we receive our gallery?

Your gallery will be carefully edited and ready within 2–4 weeks after your session. I always work with great care and attention to detail. During busier periods, it may take a little longer, but I’ll always keep you informed.

How will we receive our images?

You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view, download and share your images. Your full story is delivered together, in both colour and black & white.

How do we choose our images?

Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private gallery link. You’ll first be welcomed by a beautifully presented slideshow. Take your time to decide which image collection feels right for your family. Once you’ve made your choice, you’ll complete the final payment and your selected images will be available to download straight away.

There’s no need to decide anything in advance. Simply enjoy your session first, fall in love with your photographs, and then choose the collection that’s perfect for you.

How long can I access my gallery and downloads?

Your online gallery will be available for three months after delivery. During this time, you’re very welcome to download your images and save them in at least two places for safekeeping. If you need more time, gallery access can be extended for a small fee.

Printing your images is also a simple way to make your memories even safer — having something tangible means they’re preserved even if digital files are ever lost.

Do you offer albums and printed products?

Yes, I offer a carefully curated range of albums and printed keepsakes. You’ll be able to explore these options directly through your online gallery and I’m always happy to help if you’d like guidance choosing something that suits your family and your home.

Will our photos be shared online?

Your comfort always comes first. Your images will only ever be shared with your clear permission and I fully respect your choice.
