Milestone sessions are for moments that feel meaningful in your family life, not because they fit a category, but because they mark a change, a tradition or a moment you know you’ll want to remember. The approach stays the same — calm, natural and connection-led family photography, with space to honour what matters to you.
What are milestone sessions?
Milestone sessions are family sessions with intention.
They’re for moments you know you’ll look back on and feel grateful you documented.
This might be:
• a first birthday
• a christening or baptism
• a communion
• a birthday celebration with family
• a gathering where everyone is finally together
There’s no pressure to make it look a certain way.
I meet you where you are and photograph what unfolds naturally.
First birthdays & cake smash (kept simple)
Cake smash sessions begin gently, with a few quiet family moments before the cake comes out, giving you beautiful, natural images together first. You’re very welcome to use my client wardrobe.
We then move naturally into playtime, cake time and, if you wish, a little bath with soft bubbles to finish. Styling is kept minimal and calm, using soft, natural colours and simple details, so nothing distracts from what matters most — your child and their expressions.
There’s no expectation for your baby to do anything in a certain way. Some dive right in, others are curious, hesitant or prefer to stay close to you. All of it is completely okay. I simply follow your child’s lead and let the moment unfold naturally.
Christenings & baptisms
Christenings and baptisms are photographed quietly and respectfully, focusing on connection rather than formality.
Coverage can include:
• family moments at home
• the ceremony itself (where permitted)
• relaxed family photographs afterwards
The focus stays on relationships, emotions and togetherness — not on documenting every detail.
Communions & religious milestones
MARK A MEANINGFUL TRANSITION FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND PARENTS.
Sessions are calm and unhurried, allowing space for:
• gentle portraits
• family photographs
• moments that feel true to the day
There’s no need for performance or perfection.
We keep the approach simple, respectful and natural.
Family celebrations & gatherings
SOME MILESTONES DON’T FIT A LABEL — AND DON’T NEED TO.
I also photograph:

Frequently asked questions
Do you photograph milestone sessions outside Dublin?
Yes. Sessions take place in Dublin and surrounding areas. Travel outside Dublin may be subject to an additional fee, depending on distance.
Is the cake included in a cake smash session?
The cake is not included in the session price. You’re very welcome to bring your own cake, or, if you prefer, I can organise a simple homemade cake for your session for an additional fee.
What if photography is limited during a ceremony?
That’s completely okay. If there are any restrictions, we simply adapt and focus on family moments before or after the ceremony — at home, outside the church or nearby. The focus stays on connection, not on documenting every detail.
Do milestone sessions feel different from family sessions?
Not really. The approach stays the same — calm, natural and connection-led. Milestone sessions simply centre around a meaningful moment or celebration in your family’s life, photographed in the same gentle, unhurried way.
