1.DEFINITIONS

Photographer: Diana, operating under Diana Light Photography.

Client: Any individual or family booking photography services.

Session: A photography session booked with the Photographer.

Images: Final edited digital photographs delivered to the Client.

Slideshow: A short digital slideshow created from selected images from the session, set to music.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a session with Diana Light Photography, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms apply to all sessions unless otherwise agreed in writing. The version published on the Photographer’s website at the time of booking will apply. Clients are encouraged to review the Photographer’s portfolio before booking to ensure her aesthetic, editing style, and lifestyle approach match their vision.

3. Booking & Payment

A €50 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your session date. This fee covers planning, communication, and preparation and is deducted from the final collection price. A minimum collection purchase applies to all sessions. Collection details, pricing, and what is included are outlined on the pricing page and may change from time to time. After your session, you will receive access to a private, watermarked online gallery to view your images and select your preferred collection. The remaining balance is due after the session and reflects the minimum collection available at the time of booking, unless a higher collection is selected. Clients may choose to upgrade their collection at this stage, based on the options available at the time of selection. Payment may be made by bank transfer, Revolut, cash, or another agreed method. Payment instructions and reminders will be provided as needed. Final images and full gallery access are provided only after full payment has been received.

4. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. Vouchers are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash. The recipient is responsible for booking their session within the voucher’s validity period. If a session booked using a voucher is cancelled or not attended, the voucher is forfeited in line with these Terms. Extensions may be granted in exceptional circumstances at the Photographer’s discretion but are not guaranteed.

5. Rescheduling & Cancellation by Client

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is appreciated for rescheduling where possible. If rescheduling due to illness (child or parent) or unforeseen circumstances, the booking fee will be transferred to a new mutually agreed date. Each Client may reschedule once without penalty. A second reschedule may result in the forfeiture of the booking fee, unless otherwise agreed. Failure to attend the session without notice is considered a cancellation, and the booking fee is forfeited.

6. Cancellation by Photographer

In the unlikely event that the Photographer must cancel a session due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond her control, the Client will be offered either: a rescheduled session at the earliest mutually available date, or a full refund of all payments made. The Photographer cannot be held legally or financially liable for any additional losses arising from such cancellations.

7. Late Arrivals & Missed Sessions

Sessions begin and end at the agreed time. Late arrival may reduce shooting time but does not reduce the session fee. Missed sessions without notice are treated as cancellations.

8. Session Experience

Sessions are relaxed, child-led, and gently guided, with a focus on real connection rather than performance. The Photographer adapts to children’s moods and family dynamics and allows time for breaks, movement, and emotion. While clients are welcome to share ideas or preferences ahead of the session, specific images or poses cannot be guaranteed, as each session naturally unfolds based on the child’s comfort and needs on the day. For studio sessions, access to the client wardrobe for mums and babies, simple props, and a child-friendly environment are included. Clients are welcome to bring snacks, comfort items, or favourite toys.

9. Image Delivery, Gallery Access & Print Credits

The Client will receive a fully edited digital gallery containing all final images from the session. Image delivery typically takes 2–3 weeks. During busy periods or for larger events (such as christenings or extended family sessions), delivery may take up to 5 weeks, ensuring each image receives proper care and attention. Online galleries remain available for a minimum of 3 months. Clients are responsible for downloading and safely backing up their images.

If a collection includes print credits, these can be used while the gallery is active towards albums, prints, or other printed products available in the store. After the gallery expires, print credits can no longer be used. Gallery reactivation may be possible for a reactivation fee. If reactivated, gallery access and print credits will be available again for a further three-month period. Gallery access and included credits are valid only during the active gallery period.

10. Slideshow Delivery

A short digital slideshow is included as part of the Nest Collection. The slideshow features a curated selection of images from the session, set to music, and is delivered as a downloadable file. The slideshow is delivered as one final version and is not editable. No revisions, alternative music, or image substitutions are provided.

11. Editing Style & Artistic Integrity

By booking, the Client accepts the Photographer’s signature editing style as presented in her portfolio. RAW or unedited images are not provided. Minor retouching (such as skin smoothing or small blemish removal) is included. Image alterations outside the Photographer’s creative direction are not permitted. Please enjoy and share the images as they were created, as they form part of the Photographer’s artistic identity.

12. Cake Smash Sessions & Food Safety

For cake smash sessions, a simple homemade cake may be offered as an optional add-on. The Photographer’s kitchen is a home kitchen where nuts, eggs, dairy, and gluten are regularly used. An allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed. For safety reasons, cakes cannot be provided for babies with known food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions. Clients may bring their own cake or choose to focus on portraits without a cake.The child’s safety and wellbeing always come first.

13. Baby & Bump Offer

The Baby & Bump offer includes a €50 discount on a newborn session when booked following a maternity session. The newborn session must take place within 12 weeks from the date of birth. After this period, the discount is no longer applicable. The offer is non-transferable and cannot be claimed retroactively. This offer cannot be combined with other promotions.

14. Copyright & Usage

The Photographer retains full copyright of all images. Clients receive a personal-use licence to print, share, and post images online. Commercial use, competitions, redistribution, or resale is not permitted without written consent.

15. Image Sharing & Privacy

Images are only shared publicly with the Client’s permission. After the session, the Photographer may personally reach out to request permission to share selected images. Written confirmation via message or email is sufficient. If the Client prefers to keep images private, this will always be fully respected.

16. Model Release & Sharing Permission

Granting permission to share images is always optional. If granted, images may be used on the Photographer’s website, social media, or promotional materials related solely to her photography business. Images will never be used for third-party advertising or resale. Once images are published, removal from past posts or printed materials may not always be possible.

17. Image Archiving

Final edited images are stored securely for 3 months after delivery. Long-term archiving is not guaranteed.

18. Safety & Liability

Every effort is made to ensure a safe session environment. The Photographer is fully insured. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times. The Photographer is not liable for injuries sustained during the session due to negligence or unsafe behaviour.

19. Client Cooperation

A successful session depends on cooperation from all participants. Specific images cannot be guaranteed if a child is distressed or uncooperative. Sessions may be paused or adjusted to prioritise a child’s wellbeing.

20. Data Protection (GDPR)

Personal data is used solely for communication, invoicing, and service delivery. Data is stored securely and never shared without consent. Clients may request access, correction, or deletion of their data at any time.

21. Prints & Products

Print quality is guaranteed only when ordered through the Photographer’s professional lab. The Photographer is not responsible for prints made through third-party labs. All product orders must be paid in full at the time of ordering.

22. Promotions & Limited-Time Offers

Promotional offers may be available for a limited time. Once expired, offers cannot be claimed retroactively. Offers are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.

23. Force Majeure

The Photographer is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond her control, including illness, accidents, extreme weather, or emergencies.

24. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and any disputes will fall under Irish jurisdiction.
